Spring Unit for Tendon driving system robots - GoseiAdjuster™

There are two categories in robot. One is the Axial driving system and the other is Tendon driving system. Axial driving system is structured by motors and gears in joint and it can generate high power with high precision. On the other hand, tendon driving system can realize more humanized movement due to its structure closer to human being. The development of tendon driving system has been hot these days in consumer use robot.

Spring unit "GoseiAdjuster™" is developed for tendon driving system robots. It can let the wire (tendon in robot) have elasticity as tendon in human being, which can make robot react softly against the force from outer environment.
This is the adjuster of stiffness of wire (=Gosei by Japanese) is adjusted by this component.
